In Cambodia, the traffic man are working so hard everyday. They starts their work from 7:30AM to 12:00AM, and start again from 1:00AM to 5PM. First, I would like to thanks to them for such a hard work.
However, I am so pissed off by their lively visible bribery. If you ride bike, you need to have mirror n safety cap. I ain’t complain cuz i got none. But i complain cuz the money the get from fine are kept for themself and their family. Usually, it costs 4000Riels if u got none of the mirror n cap. Moreover, the traffic man would seeks for ur license n keep it n blackmail u before he return ur license.
Another thing, I wonder if the Police man also work for traffic ? Now let me tell u another problem in Cambodia. On the street, trafficman has right to stop, to dectect, and to ask u right ?? but now i wonder about some kinda police. For example, while riding innocently on your Fino, a group of police man command u to stop n say ”you are suspicious about the rob case. Please come with us to the office to deal the case”. If I’m not wrong, you must be shocked to hear so! But please don’t , all they want is to blackmail you. Of course they are so sure that u are not robber. Before 2008 election, Such things usually happen at night time around 9pm near the Round-Street Neang Kung Hing and Tuol Kork District. However, after the election, the Police man work at day time too. Why so many suspicious people travelling ?
In Constitution law they say “citizen has right of travelling”. Of course, you have right of travelling but you must be suspicious if u travel in the middle of the night lol. That’s what they’ll say. To my point of view, both trafficman n policeman rob.
